Welcome to the Edenic Group Live Labs.

The Live Lab is a virtual innovation session we’re running during the Waterline Summit.

We want your ideas to help us to tackle the 5 Grand Challenges of Climate Change.

Last year's Live Lab produced over 200 new ideas on how the Humber can become a demonstrator of a zero-carbon economy.
As a result there are currently 8 active projects that are now underway in the Humber region to bring these ideas to life.

We now need your ideas to add to the Humbers portfolio of sustainability projects.

How it works?

Click on one of the challenges below to enter the virtual whiteboard.

You can enter as a visitor and there are simple instructions that explain how to add your ‘sticky note’ idea to the whiteboard.

Be as innovative as you like, we need to think big to solve this global crisis. But equally small ideas are welcome as lots of small ideas can lead to a big change.

Each whiteboard has 4 categories that you can add your idea or comments to.

What Worked Well?

Record things that you’ve seen or you’re doing already that we can share as an example of good practice for others to copy. Not everything needs to be new, let’s copy and adopt the best practices from around the world.

Needs to change?

What do we see today that we know has to change as it is contributing to carbon use?  You don’t need to have solutions, the first step in innovation is figuring what the problems are.  If this is done well the solutions often become obvious.

Unanswered Questions?

Do you need more information to figure out areas to form your ideas? Put them here and we can address them and hopefully give you the ammunition to take your idea forward.

New ideas to try?

Here we want your ideas to address the climate change challenges. No ideas are too small or too big. Be as bold and ambitious as you like.

Pick a challenge bellow to submit your ideas.

Energy & Electricity

The Humber accounts for nearly 20% of the country's electricity generation, a third of its refined fuel and over a fifth of its natural gas imports. We are on a journey to more sustainable alternatives, but we need to do more and can lead the world.  What can we do to be more sustainable in how we generate, store, distribute and use energy?

Agriculture & Food Production

The Humber is an enormous producer of crops and farmed livestock. This is an intensive process that uses a lot of carbon. How can we produce, distribute and store food and produce in a more sustainable way?

Manufacturing & Industry

The Humber has a thriving manufacturing and industrial sector.  This uses a lot of energy and resources, and produces waste that harms the environment.  How can we do this more sustainably?

Transport

The Humber is a huge transport hub for people and products.  Goods arrive in our ports everyday and are distributed globally and nationally.  How can we do this differently?

Buildings & People

We are a long established population in the Humber, many of our buildings do not meet modern environmental standards. The way that we live and where we live has a big impact on the environment. What can we do to lessen that impact?
